FAQs

Are you really open year-round, rain or shine?

We are open every Saturday, rain or shine, from 8 am-11 am beginning in mid-January and ending in mid-December.

Where is the market located?

The market is located at 6525 College Street. From Interstate 10, take the Hwy 90/College St. exit and drive west past Langham Rd. You’ll see us on the left at the Beaumont Athletic Complex basketball pavilion. Parking is free and plentiful.

How do I become a vendor?

Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor at the BFM! We’d like to learn more about your business. To help us better understand your offerings, please fill out our prospective vendor inquiry form on our website. We review submissions regularly and will contact you if we are interested. If you don’t hear back from us, it might be because we already have that type of vendor category filled or we are out of space at the moment. But don’t worry, we will keep your information on file for future opportunities.

How much does it cost to be a vendor?

If you are accepted into the market you will fill out an application and send it in with the $50 application fee. A 10×10 space is $10-$15 per day that you are in attendance, based on location.

Can I cook out of my home kitchen per the Cottage Food Law?

Yes and we love baked goods, but we have a long waitlist for them.  Jellies too.

Do you allow reselling?

No—sorry no reselling. We are a direct producer/maker market only.

Is everything sold at the market USDA Certified Organic?

The markets main focus is to support local agriculture.  While many of our vendors produce their products in a sustainable manner without pesticides and synthetic fertilizers, none of our farmers are USDA Certified Organic because many are small farms without the resources to get officially certified. We have a mix of conventional, sustainable, and certified naturally-grown vendors. We encourage our customers to get to know each vendor and learn what their growing practices are.

Is raw milk sold at your market?

We do not currently have a raw milk vendor at the market.  Raw Milk is legal to purchase by pre-order in Texas and we are working to find a new dairy to supply the Beaumont Farmers Market.

How can I become a market volunteer?

Please contact texasbfm@gmail.com

Does the market accept WIC/EBT/SNAP/ Lonestar Card?

Yes! We accept SNAP/Lonestar. Learn more at our SNAP page.

Can I use my credit/debit card at the market?

Many of our vendors take cards, but cash is still the preferred form of payment for most vendors.

Do I need to bring my own bags to the Beaumont Farmers Market?

Our vendors have bags, but the market strongly promotes the Reduce Reuse and Recycle motto. So, if you have a bag bring a bag. You can also purchase a reusable bag at our information table for $5 each.

How can I keep up to date with what’s going on in the market?

Check our website for event updates, sign up for our newsletter, and follow us on Facebook or Instagram.

Does the Beaumont Farmers Market allow nonprofits and community organizations to set up at the market?

Nonprofit groups may participate in the market as space permits. Nonprofits who are accepted to participate in the market are identified by criteria chosen by the BFM Committee. Such groups may set up information-only tables free of charge provided that the non-profit fills out the application and returns it to the BFM Committee within a minimum of two weeks before the proposed date of participation in the market. We do not work with political or religious organizations.  We do not allow fundraising sales of any type to be conducted at the market.

How can I support your mission?

Come and shop with our vendors every week!   Another way is through a tax-deductible donation.  The Beaumont Farmers Market is a 501(c)(3) organization.  You can donate by clicking the button below.
